Description | Reviews
The number of Chinese-born children adopted by American
families has grown considerably in the last decade.
Each adoption is a unique story of parents and children
as their fates intertwine. Each adoption is also a blessing
that adorns the parent, the child, the community, and
the two distant cultures. Love without Boundaries paints
a colorful portrait of the unique stories of six families
that have adopted from China. It also tells of the bond
that is gradually being stitched between China and the
United States.
Through a process of interviews and real life footage
as well as numerous color stills, Love without Boundaries
first highlights the unforgettable moments in the adoption
process. Why have these people chosen to adopt from
such a distant land? What compels couples that already
have biological children to expand their family through
adoption? Will single women who have chosen to adopt
find their lives overburdened? Such questions are answered
as the parents retell their stories.
The film also spotlights the lives of the young children.
Each day spent with their forever parents in the United
States holds memorable adventures. Eager to learn and
play, the children travel from activity to activity.
There are ballet classes, Chinese language lessons,
school activities, horseback riding, soccer, and many
other fun and educational things that the children do.
Through their words and actions, the children are a
testament to the joy that adoption can bring.
The stories in Love without Boundaries will
easily warm your heart. The joy that each child emits
from their eyes is like a shining jewel on top of a
mountain. The stories of these Chinese-born children
and their parents are a testament to the power of family
and of love. They are living proof that love has no
boundaries.
