Wonderful, well balanced! --Helen Snyder
I think that your inclusion of foster parents, birth
parents, and orphanage workers and their feelings about
the children is very valuable to our children to understand
their story. --John Kolb
It was great to see the colors and textures of China
again. Years ago, in China, I fell in love with the
country and the people. I never got to see the places
and people who care for the children, so it connected
loose ends for me.
As I watched it my thought was that my daughter would
greatly benefit from watching it, too. I thought it
made much of what drives the whole adoption issue very
accessible.
I was stuck by the unforced quality of the interviews
and the great candor expressed. It all made the whole
enterprise ring true. --Charles Brown
Fantastic movie! It brought tears to my eyes. Very uplifting.
--Wendy Mailman

It helps us understand more about the lives of our
children before they joined our family. --Matt Navea
Not just those who adopt, but society in general will
benefit from understanding more about adoption from
China. --Jennifer Sleeter
It makes you want to see more and understand more.
--Lisa Pinter
I think most adoptive parents are eager to gain as
much information as possible about our children’s
heritage and their life in China… I think the
film has just opened the door. --Anne Joas
Seeing birth parents bring me to a closer understanding
of what my adopted daughter’s birth family may
have been like.
The raw emotion we see from the families who are in
these difficult situations is one of the strengths of
the documentary. Everyone can relate to their pain and
their difficult decision.
Wonderful to watch, but painful, too. --Tracey
Bowen
The documentary gave me great insight and better understanding
of the social issues regarding international adoption.
I feel this information is invaluable to help me answer
questions from my daughter when she is older. --Karen
